A "typical" pool remodel will take somewhere around 2-3 weeks. Keep in mind this timeline is subjective, based on your desired wants.
Many homeowners love the idea of having a seamless flow between their indoor living spaces and outdoor areas, especially when it comes to integrating their pool. We get how important it is for your home to feel connected and harmonious, and we’re here to help you create that perfect blend from inside to outside.
Here's a high level of what the remodeling process looks like:
The designer will meet at your property to gather measurements, discuss needs, and provide a proposal. Design samples may be shown if your vision is ready; otherwise, a follow-up will be scheduled.
After finalizing your remodel and signing the contract, you'll be assigned a superintendent and project coordinator to keep you informed. Your superintendent will confirm readiness, and once construction begins, you'll receive daily updates from your coordinator.
Once your project is complete you will receive a detailed orientation on the newly installed items. You will also receive a final walk-through with your superintendent to ensure the project is not only completed to Shasta’s standards but that everything has been completed to your satisfaction.

There is no “best” time to remodel your swimming pool, however, we do recommend remodeling during the fall or winter as that typically is a time of year that you will not be using your swimming pool. At Shasta, we work all year round so we are equipped for all seasons.
Yes, Shasta can remodel a pool that was built by another pool builder. Shasta has remodeled over 40,000 pools in the Phoenix Valley. While remodeling a pool built by another pool builder causes no issue on our end, remodeling a Shasta built pool does come with its benefits. If it’s a Shasta build pool we are able to look up the history of the pool, when it was built, original spec sheets, and possibly how the pool has been maintained since its initial build. So if you have a pool built by another pool builder and have access to any original specs, those would be very helpful to show your designer during your initial consultation as he will be able to better understand the history on your pool.
While we are not able to fully answer this question for you as this does boil down to your specific wants and needs from your space, we are able to offer some return on investment ideas. Adding a baja or sun shelf to your current pools set up can totally transform that space by creating a more inviting area that allows for future gatherings. A baja can be built to many different sizes and shapes, but it creates an area for people (and pets) to hang out, kick back and truly relax. Adding new and updated technology when it comes to lighting and pool equipment can cut back on electric bills. Or installing new gen automation can allow you to spend more time enjoying your pool rather than maintaining it. Automation can also help you to monitor your pools chemical levels from your phone which can be crucial when comes to keeping your pool balanced and performing optimally for years to come.
Using the pricing estimator is the first step in planning a budget for your pool remodel. Once you have a baseline for what it will cost you may be able to add additional items to your project that you didn’t originally think you could afford, or you might need to reconsider some items that you initially wanted. When it comes to the actual interior of the pool, the pool shell (the structural aspect), the pool's internal plumbing, tile in the pool, and the pool's interior surface would all be necessary items when it comes to resurfacing your pool. But items such as pool lighting, or pool equipment can always be installed or upgraded at a later time. Shasta does offer financing options for any size project and it might be a good idea to explore what those options could look like.
